2. Automatic data collection
If you only use the website for information purposes, that is, if you do not register with us or provide us with any other information, we only collect the personal data which your browser transmits to our server. If you would like to view our website, we collect the following data which we require from a technical standpoint to display the website to you and to ensure the stability and security (the legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR): Your IP address, data and time of your visit to the website, time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), content of the request (specific page), access status/HTTP status code, the volume of data transmitted, the requesting website, the browser, operating system and its interface that you use, as well as the name of your access provider, language and version of browser software.
We process the aforementioned data for the following purposes:
This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. Under no circumstances do we use the data collected to personally identify you. The information is collected, without requiring any action on your part, and is stored until it is automatically deleted after 90 days.
3. Information about cookies
Information which arises in connection with the specific terminal device used is stored in the cookie. However, this does not mean that we receive direct knowledge about your identity.
We also set temporary cookies to make our website as user friendly as possible. These cookies are stored for a specific predetermined period on your terminal device. If you visit our site again to use our services, the cookies automatically recognise that you have already visited our site and the inputs and settings you made so that you don’t have to enter them again.
The data processed by cookies is necessary for the purposes specified to safeguard our legitimate interests, as well as those of third parties pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Our interest in optimising our website can be considered to be legitimate within the meaning of the aforementioned provision. You can prevent cookies from being stored on your hard drive by selecting "do not accept cookies” in your browser settings. However, doing so may restrict the features of our service.
4. Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, or text files, which are stored on your computer and which enable your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the US where it is stored. However, if IP anonymisation is enabled on this website, your IP address is first truncated within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address is only transmitted in exceptional circumstances to a Google service in the US where it is truncated. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google shall use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to generate reports on website activities and to provide the website operator with other services associated with the use of the website and of the Internet.
The IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics is not amalgamated with other data held by Google.
You can prevent cookies from being saved by changing the appropriate setting in your browser software; however, we would like to point out that in this case you would not be able to use all the features of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the data generated by the cookie (including your IP address) and related to your use of the website from being collected by Google, and the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the available browser plugin under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. This means that IP addresses are processed in truncated form and, therefore, any personal identification is ruled out. Insofar as a personal connection is attributed to the data collected about you, it is immediately excluded and the personal data is promptly deleted.
We use Google Analytics to analyse our website and to make regular improvements. The statistics we receive enable us to improve our service and make it more interesting for you as the user. With respect to exceptional cases in which personal data is transmitted to the USA, Google is subject to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR.
5. Rights of data subjects
You have the right:
6. Right to object
Insofar as your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) GDPR, you have the right pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR to object to the processing of your personal data if there are grounds to do so arising from your particular situation, or if the objection is directed against direct marketing. In the latter case, you have a general right to object which is implemented by us without a particular situation being specified.
If you would like to avail yourself of your right to revoke or object, simply send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
7. Data security
During your visit to our website, we use the widely-used SSL system (Secure Socket Layer). You can tell whether an individual page of our Internet presence is transmitted in encrypted form by the closed key or lock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser. The information that you transmit to us is stored on servers in Germany, or at least in the European Union. We also use technical and organisational means to secure our websites and other systems against the loss, destruction, access to, modification or dissemination of your data by unauthorised persons.
We also make use of appropriate technical and organisational security means to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction, or against unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are subject to continuous improvement in line with technological progress.
